The Chinesiche Hemp Palm Trachycarpus, which - as its name suggests originally comes from Asia, is a real survivor. Occasionally, the palm can even be found at altitudes of up to 2,400 metres in the Himalayan mountains. In the meantime, the plant has also become established in Europe due to its robustness and adaptability. It can be found on the Mediterranean coast as well as in the cooler regions of Great Britain. With its large palm fronds and straight, slender trunk, the evergreen fan palm makes an impressive appearance. The hemp palm prefers to stand in bright light all year round, but does not tolerate direct sunlight.
