The glossy medlar (Photinia fraseri 'Louise') is an evergreen, shrubby deciduous shrub that attracts attention with its decorative foliage. The lance-shaped leaves are still red in color when they emerge. Then with time they become dark green, marked with a white edge. From April to May, the glossy medlar blooms with creamy white small flowers. In a sunny to partial shade location with well-drained soil, it grows up to 3 m tall and 2.8 m wide.
