The columnar cherry Sylvia is particularly well suited for balconies, small gardens or terraces, as it requires little space due to its columnar, slender growth, but still promises high yields. Its dark red, juicy and sweet fruits are ready for harvest in late June/early July. The columnar cherry is hardy and easy to care for. It grows about 10 - 30 cm per year and can reach a height of 2 to 3 metres. Particularly beautiful are its fragrant, white-pink flowers in spring, which create a fairytale atmosphere and are very popular with bees and other insects. This columnar cherry is self-pollinating, but yields are significantly higher if there is another cherry tree nearby. The tasty fruits are ideal for snacking directly from the tree or for processing into cakes, jam, juice or similar.
