The Obelisk columnar pear is particularly well suited for balconies, small gardens or terraces, as it requires little space due to its columnar, slender growth, but still promises high yields. Its green-yellow, juicy fruits have a fruity-sweet aroma and are ready for harvesting from mid-September/early October. The columnar pear is hardy and easy to care for. It grows about 20 - 40 cm per year and can reach a height of 2.5 to 3.5 metres. Particularly beautiful are its fragrant, white flowers in spring, which create a fairytale atmosphere and are very popular with bees and other insects. The tasty fruits are ideal for snacking directly from the tree or for processing in cakes, fruit salad, compote or the like.
