The Tradescantia zebrina is also called zebra herb because of its striped leaves and is very easy to care for. It originates from Guatemala and central and southern Mexico. The leaves of the zebra herb "Smit Silver Sicilian" are elongated, oval and pointed. The silvery violet shimmer on the green basic tone as well as the two strong, silver-white longitudinal stripes are striking. The underside of the leaves shines a strong violet. The evergreen zebraweed with its long, hanging shoots looks best in a hanging basket.
