The snake plant, also called mother-in-law's tongue, is a particularly long-lived and persistent plant. Because it is very robust, it is ideal for beginners and people without green thumbs. The Sansevieria trifasciata originates from the warm and humid regions of Africa and therefore does not cope well with cooler temperatures; it should therefore not be below 12°C in its habitat. The growth phase of the plant extends from about March to September or October.
