Die Chamaedorea elegans, auch Bergpalme genannt, ist eine Fiederpalme und in Zentralamerika beheimatet. Sie ist eine sehr pflegeleichte Zimmerpflanze und bildet zusammen mit der Goldfruchtpalme ein harmonisches Pflanzenset. Die Wedel sind mit vielen dunkelgrünen Fiederblättchen versehen.
